A tree falls in Brooklyn — and almost takes out a family.

Dramatic surveillance footage captured the moment a family came within inches of getting squashed by a massive falling tree as they strolled through Bensonhurst on Saturday, WPIX-TV News reported.

Ben and Shelly Kerstein, who were walking with a relative, called it a miracle that they were unscathed — and credited divine intervention for their narrow escape.

Ben and Shelly Kerstein were walking with a relative in Bensonhurst when a massive old tree came tumbling down.

The tree barely misses crushing the Kersteins during their walk on Saturday in Bensonhurst, WPIX said.

“The first reaction was shock, and the second, I realized this was from God and God saved us,” Ben Kerstein told the outlet. “So, all we could do was dance and thank God for saving us in that moment.”

The video shows all three walking along 59th Street and 20th Avenue when the tree comes tumbling down — and Shelly Kerstein just barely getting out of the way in time to avoid a tragedy.

She said they noticed the old tree moments before it tumbled down.

“‘Oh wow, check out that tree,’” she recalled saying. “‘It looks like it’s a thousand years old,’ and then we continued walking.”

That’s when it fell.

“We ran and the whole thing splintered to pieces, and because it was so old, it splintered to dust,” she told WPIX. “As you can see we are just standing in complete and utter shock about what happened.

“We’re Jews and that was no doubt God,” she added. “There’s no question, he put us there for a reason, to have that happen right before our eyes and save us for a reason too.”

The owner of the property where the tree once stood declined to comment, the outlet said.
